Eight games into the season, Redmond has been the standout of the group.
“I definitely noticed during training, like, ‘Man, this guy can play,’” Allen said Wednesday. “And every week, he just continues to impress. Come time the season started, I knew what kind of player he was. Not very surprising he’s playing as well as he is considering how he looked during training camp consistently.”
Hargrave agreed that training camp was when he recognized the strength of Redmond’s talents, noting he would “win so many rushes or win so many rush techniques.”
Redmond not only leads the Vikings in sacks but is tied for third in quarterback hurries (5) and is fourth in tackles for loss (6).
Next Gen Stats has Redmond third on the team for total quarterback pressures with 18 behind Greenard (29) and Wilson (19), while Pro Football Focus has him second behind Greenard with 22.
He has surpassed his 2024 season totals in every category and logged his first career forced fumble in the Vikings’ standout defensive performance against Cincinnati in Week 3.
