Jalen Green shined in his first game as a Phoenix Sun, and Bradley Beal struggled in his return to the Valley as the Suns sank the Clippers, 115-102 on Thursday.
Green finished with a game-high 29 points on 10-for-20 shooting in 23 minutes. The guard in his fifth year in the league hit six of the Suns’ 19 3-pointers. He ended up setting the Suns’ franchise record for most made 3s in a debut.
His athleticism also was on full display as he showed his ability to get to the rim and finish.

Green missed the Suns’ first eight games of the season with a right hamstring strain after coming over in the Kevin Durant trade.
After a back and forth first half, the Suns pulled away midway through the third quarter via a 12-0 run to go up by 13. Phoenix ended up outscoring Houston 40-23 in the period, as Green scored 13 of his points in the third quarter.
Devin Booker added 24 points, and Grayson Allen scored 18 points and went 4-for-9 from 3 while battling an illness.

Beal did not receive any sort of tribute video or highlight montage upon his return, instead getting just a brief graphic, which was met with more boos.
