A look at the early injury news ahead of the derby between Crystal Palace and Brighton this weekend.

The M23 derby is back this weekend when Crystal Palace face Brighton at Selhurst Park on Sunday. Both sides have enjoyed strong starts to the season, and they are currently separated by just one point so far, with the Eagles holding the upper-hand.

Palace beat Brentford in their last Premier League outing, though they have been in Conference League action since, while Brighton beat Leeds United in comprehensive fashion. Ahead of Sunday’s derby, we have rounded up the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Adam Webster - Out

Webster is out for much of the season with a serious knee injury.

Solly March - Out

March is still a couple of months away from returning from his knee injury.

Jack Hinshelwood - Out

Hinshelwood is not expected back from his ankle injury until some time after the international break.

Joel Veltman - Doubt

Veltman could return here as he looks to return from a lower leg issue.

Karou Mitoma - Doubt

Herzeler has been hopeful that Mitoma will return here. He said last week: “Mitoma is back on the pitch, he is training. I don't think it is a big issue, and we should see him before the international break.”

Brajan Gruda - Doubt

Gruda is battling to return from a knee injury. It’s not clear whether he will be risked before the break.

James Milner - Doubt

Milner could return from a minor issue here.

Eddie Nketiah - Out

Glasner said last week: “We had a scan yesterday. The result came back and was better than our [original] concerns. It's a minor muscle injury. It looks like he'll be back after the international break. So, he will miss three games but then should be back. It's a positive result.”

Cheick Doucoure - Out

Doucoure is going to be out until late November as he works his way back from a long-term knee injury.

Chadi Riad - Out

Riad is out here but will finally return in the next couple of weeks having worked his way back from two nasty injuries in close succession. Glasner said last week: “We have Chadi Riad, who will come back in the next two weeks and start training with us.” A return after the break is likely.

Kporha has been out with a back injury and Glasner has not suggested he will return yet.
