Wolves are back in Premier League action with an away trip to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea this weekend

Wolves are rock bottom of the Premier League table and are winless in their first 10 league fixtures. They are inside the drop zone along with Nottingham Forest and West Ham. The Midlands outfit are eight points from safety behind Burnley in 17th.

Vitor Pereira has been sacked recently and the club’s hierarchy are in the hunt for a replacement. They have a big decision to make and are weighing up their options. Up next is an away trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to play Chelsea.

Wolves predicted XI vs Chelsea: goalkeeper and defence

GK: Sam Johnstone: He has been Wolves’ number one recently ahead of Jose Sa. The 32-year-old will be eager to keep more clean sheets over the coming weeks. He could be a busy man against Chelsea.

RB: Jackson Tchatchoua: It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the right wing-back come into the starting XI for this one. He likes to get up and down the flank and get involved in attacks. The Cameroon international moved to England in the summer from Hellas Verona.

CB: Santiago Bueno: The 26-year-old has been ever-present so far in this campaign. He made the switch to England back in 2023. Prior to his transfer, he caught the eye in La Liga with Girona.

CB: Ladislav Krejci: He is on loan at Wolves with an option to buy next year. The versatile 26-year-old has scored one goal in seven league outings so far. He has made 23 caps for the Czech Republic national team to date.

LB: Hugo Bueno: The left-back has enjoyed a new lease of life at Molineux this term, despite the team’s poor displays. He has forced his way back into the fold having previously fallen down the pecking order. The Spaniard has enjoyed plenty of game time.

Wolves predicted XI vs Chelsea: midfield and attack

CM: Marshall Munetsi: Wolves snapped him up back in February on a three-and-a-half year deal. He has since made 26 outings and has found the net on four occasions. The Zimbabwean ace has played for Orlando Pirates and Stade de Reims in the past.

CM: Andre: Joao Gomes is injured which could pave the way for Andre to get the nod. He has had to bide his time for starting opportunities recently. The Brazilian will want to prove a point and show what he is capable of doing in the middle of the park.

FW: Jean-Ricner Bellegarde: The 27-year-old is versatile and can operate further up the pitch if needed. The Haiti international, who has two caps under his belt, has played 12 matches altogether this season. He is under contract until 2028.

FW: Jhon Arias: Wolves swooped to land him in the last transfer window. He gives them more competition and depth at the top end of the pitch. The forward will be looking to cause Chelsea some issues with his place and power.

ST: Jorgen Strand-Larsen:Newcastle United were admirers of the striker before they signed Nick Woltemade. He was identified by the Toon Army as a possible replacement for Alexander Isak. The Dane stayed put though beyond the deadline.
