Jaire Alexander brings up Packers’ past in message to AJ Brown after trade to Eagles

Jaire Alexander is starting a new chapter in his NFL career, as he’s now with the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles. Alexander was released by the Green Bay Packers in June to clear some cap space before he signed with Baltimore on a one-year deal worth $4 million.

Many expected him to play a considerable role in the Ravens’ secondary, but such a vision just did not turn out to be that way for Alexander, who now brings this talent to the City of Brotherly Love. The Ravens traded Alexander last week to the Eagles along with a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft in exchange for a sixth-rounder in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Now with the Eagles, Alexander doesn’t have to worry about someone like AJ Brown, who is returning from a one-game absence due to a hamstring issue.

On Thursday, Alexander shared a fun exchange with Brown.

“When I saw A.J., I went up and hugged him and said, ‘we’re not in Brazil anymore!'” Alexander said (h/t Zach Berman of The Athletic).

“It was cool. He laughed about it,” added Alexander, who saw action in just two games for the Ravens in the 2025 NFL season.

Alexander was also referring to the Packers’ matchup against Philadelphia in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL campaign, which took place in São Paulo. The Eagles won that game, with Brown wreaking havoc downfield, coming away with 119 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches.

Now, Alexander and Brown are on the same side, as the Eagles face Jordan Love and the Packers in Week 10 at Lambeau Field.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Joshua Palmer gets held by Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jaire Alexander while trying to catch the pass during the second half of their game against the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park on Sept. 7, 2025. The Ravens received a penalty for the pass interference.
