That’s according to Clarets boss Scott Parker, who remains fully focused on the task ahead.

Detailed talks about incomings and outgoings remain on the backburner for now, with the Clarets locked in for their Premier League survival battle.

When asked if Burnley have a firm idea of what business they need to do in January, Parker replied: “Not at the moment. We have an idea but no discussions have taken place just yet.

"I'm probably not in the mindset or don't have the time at this present moment in time to really discuss it.

“There are people in places that are obviously looking at that and I think we'll probably tackle that after the international break in the next few weeks and sit down with the guys.

"I will probably express my views and how I see things, but we're a couple of weeks away from really getting into deep discussions regarding that.”

Axel Tuanzebe (DR Congo), Hannibal (Tunisia) and Lyle Foster (South Africa) are all expected to miss a chunk of Burnley’s season for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, which gets underway on December 21, running until January 18 for the finalists.

“It'll be difficult,” Parker admits.

"It's not ideal obviously, but of course it’s a big competition that just falls at this time of the year.

"We'll have to look at that and take that into consideration, certainly regarding January as well. But like I said, we've got a big squad and people have to come in for that.”
