Marco Silva names out-of-form Everton ace as a danger man alongside Jack Grealish and Iliman…

Everton take on Fulham this weekend, and Marco Silva will be making his first trip to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton welcomed a former manager back to the club early in 2025, as David Moyes returned for his second spell in charge.

Results have been mixed so far this season, as Monday’s 1-1 draw at Sunderland means Everton have won just one in seven Premier League games.

Moyes now faces another former Everton manager this weekend, as he attempts to get back on track with a win.

Marco Silva brings his Fulham side to Hill Dickinson Stadium, facing Everton once again after being sacked in 2019.

Alex Iwobi is looking forward to facing Everton this weekend, and we can only assume that Silva feels similarly.

The Fulham boss has worked wonders at Craven Cottage, and he would love to haunt the Toffees at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It’s easy to forget just how highly rated Silva was when he moved to Everton, with Jamie Carragher suggesting that he could become the Toffees’ Mauricio Pochettino.

Speaking to Fulham’s official website, Silva has now highlighted some of the threats Fulham will face this weekend as he looks to beat Moyes.

Silva noted that Everton are ‘strong’ and ‘physical’ but have now added real individual quality in the final third.

Silva pointed to summer signings Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish as two players who can cause problems, while also praising Iliman Ndiaye for his current form.

Dewsbury-Hall has struggled of late, but Silva clearly believes that he can still make a big impact this weekend.

“We want to play at our best level to fight for the three points,” said Silva.

“They’re are strong side, a physical side. In some moments, a slightly different style, but other moments with the technical players and the good individual players that they have this season, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish, the moment of Ndiaye. They have very good individual quality, and of course, with a very experienced manager,” he added.

Marco Silva has rebuilt his career since Everton exit

Everton courted Silva during his Watford days and finally secured his services as Sam Allardyce’s successor in 2018.

Silva was supposed to be Everton’s long-term leader, but it didn’t quite work out that way.

After 24 wins and 24 defeats in 60 games, Silva was sacked by Everton in a decision which sparked 18 months out of the game.

Some wondered when and where Silva’s next opportunity would arise, and he had to drop into the Championship with Fulham.

That decision has paid dividends, as Silva not only won promotion in his first season but has now established Fulham as a mid-table Premier League side again.

Silva has completely salvaged his managerial reputation, which was at a real low point after leaving Everton.

Now 48 and attracting Premier League suitors, Silva is showing many of the qualities that attracted Everton to him in the first place, but Moyes will hopefully condemn him to defeat this weekend.
