Tuchel reveals his England squad - and Welbeck decision

Danny Welbeck has missed out on an England recall.

Thomas Tuchel announced his latest squad this morning - and left himself short of centre-forward options.

The [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) star was NOT among the seven strikers named - and there was no Ollie Watkins either.

Harry Kane is the only genuine centre-forward in the party.

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott was a surprise selection and Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham are both selected.

England face Serbia at Wembley and Albania in Tirana over the next fortnight.

Both games are World Cup qualifiers but they also form a part of England’s preparation for the tournament having already booked their ticket at the top of their group.

Expectation and speculation had grown over a Welbeck recall fuelled partly by a run of six goals in his last five Premier League games.

But he has also impressed with his work around the pitch and within the squad on and off the field.

Welbeck has remained firmly focused on Albion's Premier League season, which continues at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has been named in the England group.
