Bundesliga star says he keeps watching Brighton – Sounds a bit of a fan

Bundesliga star Florian Neuhaus has revealed he spends a lot of his spare time watching Brighton and Hove Albion.

[Rheinische Post](https://rp-online.de/) have an interview with the midfielder today discussing life at Borussia Monchengladbach and various other topics.

One of those is his love of football in general. The newspaper explain that he’s known to be an ‘avid football fan’ and watches many matches on the television when he can.

Neuhaus confirmed that is the case and then revealed a surprising name on the list of clubs he’s been watching of late, Brighton.

_“Bayern Munich is extremely enjoyable to watch at the moment, and Paris Saint-Germain also impresses me; of course, I watched their direct encounter on Tuesday,”_ he said.

_“El Clásico in Spain, with FC Barcelona against Real Madrid, is always a must-see for me. Right now, I find Brighton & Hove Albion and their coach Fabian Hürzeler exciting.”_

He was then asked what he is looking for in watching the Seagulls. And he appeared to reveal that he’s quite the fan of them. In fact, he wants to see them rise higher in the Premier League.

_“They always have a special approach and interesting ideas in their build-up play,”_ he added.

_“I would like to see that reflected in the league table and for them to climb a few more places in the Premier League.”_

For those that don’t know, Brighton are currently 10th in the Premier League ahead of the weekend’s fixtures. They’re only three points off of the top four, though.

That means there’s every chance this season could be a special one. Neuhaus certainly seems to be hoping so, and we’re sure he’ll be watching with interest for the rest of the campaign.
