The Eagles sit ninth on six points after three matches, with the top 24 in the 36-team league reaching the knockouts.
The top eight immediately qualify for the last 16, while 9th – 24th play off for the final eight spots.
Winning two of their last three matches, which come against Strasbourg, Shelbourne and KuPs Kuopio, should be enough for Eagles to avoid February’s play-off and advance straight to the Round of 16.
Palace outshone AZ at Selhurst Park with an Ismaila Sarr brace and Maxence Lacroix stunner helping the Eagles to a 3-1 win.
Glasner was pleased with how his side competed against the 2023 Conference League semi-finalists, explaining the win gave a good indication of where his side are at in the competition
“It’s a very important win,” said Glasner. “It's a huge difference if you have six points after three games or three points.
“The first 24 qualify. To be realistic, it looks like this should happen. That is always goal number one. Even Alkmaar has now lost two of three, but I expect them to qualify and go far in this competition.
“Two years ago, we were in the semi-final of the Conference League. Therefore, it was a very good test, a very good challenge for us.
“Therefore, it was important that we showed that we can win against them. I enjoyed parts of the game.
"We looked a bit suprised with their intensity in the first 10-15 minutes, but after that we started to control the game, especially with our physicality. We knew we could gain an advantage from set-plays with our taller players.
"We missed a penalty, but I liked the reaction, we kept going. It was a really deserved lead at half time. We conceded a goal, which AZ deserved at that moment, but I liked the reaction again.
"It was a really important win for us after the defeat to AEK Larnaca."
