Enzo Maresca issues an injury update on Pedro Neto ahead of Wolves clash

Enzo Maresca has spoken to the media ahead of Wolves’ trip to Stamford Bridge, and has provided an update on the recently sidelined Pedro Neto.

Wolves are gearing up for their 11th outing of the campaign, and will be looking for their first Premier League win against a Chelsea side they pushed to the brink less than two weeks ago.

With no manager brought in, Wolves will likely be under the guidance of Under-21s coach James Collins as they travel to London for a tough tie under the lights.

Fans will be interested in the status of Pedro Neto, who left Molineux a year ago.

Enzo Maresca provides Pedro Neto update ahead of Chelsea vs Wolves

Wolves need any help they can get on Saturday.

Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia are just some of Chelsea’s sidelined men, and Neto missed their midweek Champions League trip to Qarabag.

Unfortunately, it sounds like he could be back for the weekend.

As Football London report, Maresca is optimistic after what he saw in training on Thursday.

He says: “Pedro had a session with the physio yesterday on the pitch, it was good. Today he will train with us and we will make the final decision.”

It’s not like Chelsea are short of attacking weapons, but Wolves fans would rather their old player not have the chance to inflict further misery.

Maresca is really happy with Neto at Chelsea, and if he’s fit, there’s a good chance he makes the starting XI. One more worry for the weekend.
