Jurgen Klopp Leeds United
This past week has seen Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp being linked to Leeds United. Many believe Daniel Farke is under pressure, and thus will not see out the rest of the season.
The humiliating 3-0 loss to Brighton last weekend has shifted the narrative around the club once again. Leeds are in 16th place in the Premier League, four points above the relegation zone. To some, they have exceeded expectations a bit, but others think they can do better.

Some high profile names have been linked with the job, mainly Pochettino and Klopp. Currently both are preoccupied with different roles in football. Mauricio Pochettino is head coach of the United States Men’s National Team. And Jurgen Klopp is still Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull.
The German has however hinted that he could be tempted to return to management, so it is not impossible to think that he could be the next to take the Leeds job. Mauricio Pochettino recently spoke to the BBC saying he could return to managing in the Premier League in the future. Jurgen Klopp to Leeds United rumours have been gaining traction this season.
However, looking at the pedigree of both managers and the clubs they have coached, Elland Road is way down their lists.
The current state of Leeds United and Daniel Farke
Information around the club has indicated that Daniel Farke will not be sacked anytime soon. But the Premier League is unforgiving and decisions can be made over night – like how Nottingham Forest sacked Ange Postecoglou after eight games.
Leeds United face Forest this weekend in the Premier League in a game that is very crucial for both sides at this point of the season. The Whites would need the points to separate themselves from the relegation pack, while Sean Dyche’s side are looking to move out of the relegation zone.
After the Forest game, Leeds face Aston Villa, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in their next four fixtures. It will be a huge task for Daniel Farke, and if he survives this he will probably stay in charge till the end of the season.
But who are the options if Farke loses these games and is sacked? There is a limited number of options around, which may explain why the Whites are reluctant to make any decisions. Not many coaches will be willing to take over a club battling relegation mid season.
Forest game will be crucial for Leeds
Many believe that the result on Sunday could ultimately decide Daniel Farke’ fate. If the club cannot get a result before that nightmare run of games after the international break, the signs are not good.
This international window is also the best time to make any changes, because there is no break in the fixtures till the end of the year. So Farke has one huge game to save his future, despite what others around the club will say.
