Through nine weeks of the 2025 NFL season, the NFC East has turned into a one-team race. The Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) are the only team above .500 after the other three teams lost last week. The Washington Commanders (3-6) will likely be without Jayden Daniels for the rest of the season, while the New York Giants (2-7) are woefully undermanned, and the Dallas Cowboys (3-5-1) have lost two in a row heading into their bye week. Let’s dig into our NFC East Bold Predictions for Week 10 (with an extra season-long prediction for the Cowboys on their bye week).

The Eagles will lose coming out of their bye week

The Eagles were playing well heading into their bye, but they have one of their toughest games of the year on tap as they head to Green Bay to take on the Packers. The Packers are coming off a bad loss to the Carolina Panthers and should be locked in as they attempt to take down the defending champs in a matchup that could determine home-field advantage in the NFC. I’m going with a 24-21 Packers win.
Saquon Barkley will struggle again this week
Saquon Barkley looked fantastic rushing for 150 yards against the Giants in what was his only really good game of the season, but he’ll face a tough Packers run defense this week. Green Bay is the fifth-best run defense in the league and will hold Barkley to under 70 yards this week as he attempts to overcome a groin injury.

The Commanders will lose their fifth game in a row this week
The Commanders started 2-0, but that seems like a decade ago as they’ve now lost four in a row to take them to 3-6. With Jayden Daniels out for a while (and probably the season) with a dislocated elbow and Terry McLaurin still out, the Commanders will struggle to keep up with the Detroit Lions. I’m putting them down for a 31-17 loss.

Deebo Samuel will be the lone bright spot for the Commanders
The Commanders don’t have much on offense to lean on anymore, but Deebo Samuel has been their most consistent player this season. While he hasn’t topped 100 receiving yards in a game all season, Samuel leads the team with 367 receiving yards on the season and should be able to top 80 receiving yards as the only above-average target in Washington’s offense.
Giants
Jaxson Dart

The Giants will fall to 2-8 this week
The Giants have looked better than their record indicates, but they’ll have to face a surging Bears team on the road this week. After starting 0-2, the Bears have now won five of six and are 2-1 at home. The Giants will keep things close, but will lose their fourth straight game this week – I’m going with a 27-17 win for Chicago.
Jaxson Dart will outplay Caleb Williams
While Williams has been playing well as of late, the Giants run defense is the second-worst in the league, so the Bears will be able to move the ball on the ground this week. I expect the Giants to be playing catch-up all game as the Bears rely on their run game, and that means Jaxson Dart will end up putting up more passing yards than Caleb Williams.
Bye week prediction: The Cowboys won’t make the playoffs

While this might sound like a safe prediction, the Cowboys just went all-in at the trade deadline, so it’s playoffs-or-bust at this point. However, at 3-5-1, the Cowboys are 11th in the NFC and are on the outside looking in (and then some). They’ll also have to play the Eagles, Chiefs, Lions, Vikings, and Chargers after playing the Raiders coming out of their bye week. There’s a very good chance they’ll be 1-5 during that stretch – which would have them firmly out of the playoff picture.
