Leeds United will wait until the last possible minute before making a call on the involvement of summer signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin for this Sunday's game at Nottingham Forest. The former Everton man has an abductor strain which has ruled him out of training so far this week, with just one more session to go for him to prove his fitness to manager Daniel Farke and his staff.

The Whites face Forest on Sunday afternoon with Leeds almost boasting a fully fit squad for the key clash, with Willy Gnonto fit and ready to go after two months out, but Sebastiaan Bornauw has a question mark against him.

Speaking about Calvert-Lewin and the fitness of his squad for the game at the City Ground, Farke said; "It is an abductor injury, an abductor strain and it will be a tight call if he plays.

"He is doing his rehab and it is progressing well, but he is not in team training yet. We still have a few more days so we are not worried yet, but it will be a late decision whether he travels with us or not. He is a question mark.

"There is also a little question mark against Bornauw who missed a session this week, but all the others are fine and ready to go.

"Willy has been out for a long time with his calf problem and a hernia surgery, but he has been back in team training for two full weeks and we can see him growing each and every day. He is back and ready for selection. There is a chance he could be picked for this game."

The game sees 16th placed Leeds head to a Forest team who last year were in a Champions League place at this stage of the season and now find themselves in the relegation zone. A draw last time out at least ended a dismal run of four defeats for Forest, but their manager Sean Dyche knows it's a win he and the team need to lift morale and the club ahead of the international break, with fears they are getting cut adrift.

For Farke, there's a similar need to win with just one victory in their last five games. Asked if it is a bigger game given the respective positions of the teams currently, Farke brushed off that suggestion but knows hi side need more points.

Farke added; "At this stage of the season you shouldn't worry too much about the fixtures and where teams are around you in the table. I don't interpret too much into it, just that it is a chance to win three points.

"It is a difficult fixture for us so we have to prepare in the best possible way. At this stage we are on three wins and we need more wins. We are on two draws too and we need more draws also."
