Forest Preview has all the info you'll need ahead of kick-off
Nottingham Forest host Leeds United as Premier League football returns to the City Ground, in what will be the first meeting between the clubs since 2023 (kick-off 2pm GMT).
That season saw the Reds claim the spoils on Trentside with a 1-0 win, while the Whites triumphed 2-1 at Elland Road.
Forest go into the match unbeaten in two in all competitions following Thursday evening’s goalless draw with Sturm Graz in the Europa League, which came after last Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at the City Ground.
Indeed, Sean Dyche’s side have suffered defeat in just one of their last four matches in all competitions heading into Sunday’s contest.
Daniel Farke’s side, meanwhile, sit 16th in the Premier League table having suffered a 3-0 loss against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium last weekend.
In the previous 103 meetings between the clubs, Forest have won 36, while 35 have ended in draws. Leeds have claimed victory in the remaining 32 fixtures.

Leeds go into Sunday’s fixture having won just one of their last five matches, that victory coming against West Ham United at Elland Road in their final game of October.
The Whites are yet to win away from home this season, including in the Carabao Cup, with all of their Premier League points so far coming in West Yorkshire.
Daniel Farke’s side returned to the top flight as Championship winners last season, amassing 100 points in the second tier before clinching the title over Burnley on goal difference.
Leeds have collected 11 points so far this campaign, having won three, drawn two, and lost five of their opening 10 league fixtures.
A foot in both camps
Eric Lichaj - Forest v Arsenal - 2017/18
Eric Lichaj - Forest v Arsenal - 2017/18
Eric Lichaj spent five years at the City Ground between 2013 and 2018, making 190 appearances in the Garibaldi.
He was named the Reds’ Player of the Season in the 2016/17 campaign and captained Forest in the absence of Chris Cohen and Matt Mills.
The former USA international memorably netted a brace against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup during the 2017/18 season, as the Reds recorded a famous 4-2 victory over the Gunners on Trentside.
Following his time with Forest, Lichaj went on to enjoy a spell with Hull City and a season in Turkey before calling time on his professional career in 2021.
While still on Aston Villa’s books, he joined Leeds United on loan in 2011, making 16 appearances for the club before returning to Villa Park at the end of the campaign.
