EVERYONE at the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/?ref=au) was thrilled for Alex Scott after he received his first England call up this morning.
Scott was included in Thomas Tuchel’s Three Lions squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for the first time, after impressing for Bournemouth this season and for the England U21s in their Euros win in the summer.
Andoni Iraola expressed his delight for the midfielder.
“I'm very pleased for him,” he said.
“I think he has been playing very well. Also, I suppose the good performance with the under 21s in the summer has been also very valuable and very happy for him and also happy for the club because he's always in an English club.
“To have someone representing your country, I think is good, especially for him, but also for the club.”
Asked what the reaction of the squad was to the news, Iraola said: “Everyone was very excited. He had the classical corridor we give for special occasions. And he obviously was very happy.”
On if he has told Scott to try to learn from any specific players in the England squad, Iraola said: “Alex is very smart and he knows a lot of the teammates also from the young teams.
“And for sure he has to use this chance to learn everything he can and also keep fighting, keep being very humble. So it's not just once.
“And he has more chances now to establish himself and to earn more opportunities.”
