The last time that College GameDay appeared at Texas Tech was 17 years ago when Michael Crabtree famously defeated Texas with a last-second touchdown grab down the sideline, and now the ESPN crew will return to the campus this weekend for an important top 10 matchup with the BYU Cougars.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will appear on ESPN College GameDay to make his picks for Week 11’s matchup against BYU, and with both teams firmly in the College Football Playoff mix perhaps the Super Bowl winner can provide some good luck for the Red Raiders.

This season, Texas Tech’s only regular season blemish came in mid October when the Red Raiders surprisingly fell to Arizona State on the road. However, their home meeting with BYU could all but solidify their chances of making the playoff.
