The England international is set to sign his second new deal in the space of a year with the framework of an agreement in place.
Rogers was already contracted through to 2030. The new deal, which is expected to be signed in the coming days, will extend his stay for a further 12 months while also making him one of the highest paid players at the club.
The Halesowen-born star has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Villa from Middlesbrough for an initial £8million in January, 2024.
Rogers became just the fifth player from the club to be named PFA young player of the year after scoring 14 goals in all competitions last season.
The 23-year-old, a product of Albion’s academy, has also become part of England boss Thomas Tuchel’s plans, scoring his first international goal in last month’s 1-0 win over Wales.
Despite a difficult start to the current campaign, during which he struggled for form as Villa failed to win any of their opening six matches, Rogers has shown signs of returning to his best in recent weeks.
He netted his first club goal of the season in a 2-1 win over Tottenham and was named man-of-the-match in Thursday’s victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Giving Rogers a new deal was high on Villa’s agenda this season after interest from other clubs, including Tottenham, during the summer transfer window.
He will now join Matty Cash and John McGinn in committing his future to the club this season, with Villa also in talks with Youri Tielemans and Pau Torres over extended contracts.
Rogers and Ezri Konsa have both been included in the England squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Latvia, though striker Ollie Watkins was omitted.
