The English Football Association has unveiled the Young Lions squads for this month's international fixtures, with eight players of Nigerian descent earning call-ups across various age groups.
England U21 manager Lee Carsley has included Super Eagles target Ethan Nwaneri and Chelsea forward Tyrique George in his squad for the European U21 Championship qualifiers against the Republic of Ireland and Slovakia.
During last month's international break, Nwaneri contributed two assists as the European champions swept aside Moldova 4–0, while George provided a game-winning assist in a 1–0 win over Andorra.
At U20 level, three Nigeria-eligible players have been selected for the friendly against Japan’s Samurai Blue at Doncaster Rovers' Eco-Power Stadium on Friday, 14 November.
Olabade Aluko, who was invited to Flying Eagles' pre-World Cup training camp, is joined by Chelsea academy product Somto Boniface and Rangers defender Jayden Meghoma, who is aiming to add to his youth international caps after missing the October camp.
Meanwhile, England U19 boss Will Antwi has named Hale End Academy graduates Khari Ranson and Owen Asemota—both goalkeepers—alongside Liverpool's history-making forward Rio Ngumoha in his squad for the European U19 Championship qualifiers in Lithuania.
The Young Lions will face Lithuania, Latvia and Scotland at Raudondvaris Stadium between 12 and 18 November, with the top two teams advancing to the next stage in March 2026.
