Chelsea learn they have a youngster on loan who is already worth more than Endrick

Chelsea’s future is bright as a result of the business completed by Todd Boehly and co since they took over the club back in 2023.

While Blues supporters have had to be patient to see large portions of the transfer fees make their mark at the club, they are starting to reap the rewards through Estevao Willian.

After signing him for £29m, Estevao is now worth more than £100m and has scored four goals in his last seven games for the club.

He spent a number of months remaining at Palmeiras, and Geovany Quenda is currently going through the same process at Sporting in Portugal.

Despite Quenda’s struggles in the Champions League against Juventus, he has enjoyed a very strong season so far as he develops his skills ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have spent big money on Quenda, more than they did on Estevao, however he is already worth more than that according to the CIES Football Observatory.

They have him valued at more than £70m, a valuation higher than what it currently is for Real Madrid youngster Endrick, after things have not worked out as planned at his new club.

Chelsea pushed hard to sign Endrick before he left Brazil, however will be delighted with the two main young signings they have already made.

Chelsea’s plan for Quenda

The Portuguese youngster has featured both out wide and in the full-back role, however Chelsea already know what kind of player they see in their future signing.

The Blues view Quenda as a winger, leaving some interesting decisions down the line for Enzo Maresca to make when it comes to squad selection.

With no plans for the youngster to be loaned out, a scenario could form where he and Estevao are competing for the same spot on the pitch.

With Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens all battling for minutes too, there could be a tough decision made over one of their futures over the summer.
