The New York Giants have a 2-7 record this season and it might appear as if head coach Brian Daboll could potentially be gone at the end of the season, if not earlier. When the Giants had a 19-0 lead against the Denver Broncos earlier in the season entering the fourth quarter, and they lost that game by a final score of 33-32.

This loss was almost the end of Daboll as head coach of the Giants. Well, it appears as if New York will have a new head coach in 2026. Does this mean that general manager Joe Schoen will also survive this season or he is going to be fired as head coach.

Shaun Morash of WFAN in New York was on the air with Evan Roberts on Thursday talking about the Giants head coach. Morash said about Daboll,
“I’ve gotten this from multiple people I trust, which is why I am going to come here with it. The Giants were firing Brian Daboll off the plane after the collapse in Denver.”
Roberts seemed shocked about it and added, “really?”
Morash continued by saying,
“He was fired. Ownership got together, cooler heads prevailed and they decided not to fire Brian Daboll off the plane in Denver. But, in the immediacy of that collapse, the decision to throw on third and five like Tiki had crushed after that game enough was apparently enough from people of importance with the Giants.”
