Everton manager David Moyes isn't worried by Jack Grealish's omission from the latest England squad and remains satisfied by the loanee's form. Grealish moved to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on a season-long loan after dropping down the pecking order at Manchester City and has benefited from the regular football.

Grealish picked up four assists in his first three games under Moyes and scored a late winner against Crystal Palace in October. While that hasn't been enough for a recall at international level, Everton's manager just wants the playmaker to keep up the good work.

"I get asked about Jack in every press conference," Moyes told reporters on Friday. "We are pleased with how he is doing and we want him to add to his tally of assists and score a couple of goals more as well - that will help us a lot."

"Thomas Tuchel picks his England team and he has to decide what he wants. At the moment, Jack is doing really, really well for us," Moyes added. The most recent of Grealish's 39 England caps came in October 2024 under caretaker boss Lee Carsley, months before Tuchel took charge.

Everton are among the lowest scorers in the Premier League, with 10 goals in 10 games and just one in their last three outings. "We are creating a bit but the returns from the forwards hasn't been good enough. But there are a lot of things we have to take into consideration - not just the centre forwards," Moyes added.

England take on Serbia and Albania in their final two World Cup qualifiers in November. The Three Lions are already assured of top spot in their group but manager Tuchel has still named a strong squad.

Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham have both returned to the fold and have a chance to cement their place in Tuchel's plans for next summer. Grealish's former Aston Villa colleague Ollie Watkins misses out, though, while veteran Danny Welbeck has been left out despite his fine form for Brighton this term.

"No one needs to be nervous [about lack of number nines], we have a lot of good strikers, Ollie is one of them," Tuchel said. "We understood and observe when we watched Ollie that he's playing through discomfort at the moment and it simply didn't make much sense to bring him into this camp in this condition.

"We then opted for the option to give him this break to get treatment and get back to full physical capacity and best shape to fit for the place again in March. We don't have a clear number nine profile behind Harry [Kane] but given different scenarios, Anthony Gordon plays there for Newcastle. Marcus Rashford plays there for Barcelona.

"Phil Foden can also play a very fluid number nine in this camp. We have enough options to be dangerous. Jude shows up regularly in number nine positions. I am confident we will be able to create chances and convert them."
