Everton boss David Moyes was furious when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall received a ban earlier this season.

Dewsbury-Hall missed Everton’s win over Crystal Palace after picking up five bookings, sparking an angry reaction from the Scottish manager.

Moyes spoke out over the way Everton are officiated, and the Blues spoke to the PGMOL over the issue to try and resolve it.

However, the Toffees may find themselves in the same situation in the clash with Fulham at Hill Dickinson Stadium on 8 November.

James Garner risks even more David Moyes fury

James Garner has been one of Everton’s best players this season, even earning calls for him to be selected in the England squad.

However, he is walking a tightrope if he starts against Fulham as expected, as he is just one yellow card away from suspension.

Garner has picked up four bookings so far, and one more would leave him sidelined for one match, like Dewsbury-Hall was earlier in the season.

It would likely leave Moyes furious once again, as he was when the attacking midfielder was missing for one match.

Moyes cannot afford to be without Garner

Dewsbury-Hall is a luxury player, but Garner is absolutely essential for Moyes’ side.

The former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest star makes things tick in midfield and is a key member of the squad.

His influence is obvious, as the Blues are desperate to tie him down to a new contract before his current deal in L3 expires.

The last thing that Moyes needs is for one of his star men to be banned, and he will hope that the 25-year-old can keep his cool and avoid the attention of the referee.

That is something which the former Chelsea star was unable to do earlier in the campaign, and the Merseysiders cannot afford a repeat when they face Marco Silva’s side.
