Antoine Semenyo has long been linked with a move to Liverpool, with Fabrizio Romano sharing his latest knowledge on their pursuit.
The attacker has been in fine form this season as he’s arguably been one of the Premier League’s best performers.
Several of the big six clubs have been linked with a potential move for Semenyo due to the release clause he reportedly has in his contract.

Although it may seem like a lot of money for a 25-year-old, due to his Premier League experience, his versatility and his keen eye for goal, the fee doesn’t seem too steep.
Fabrizio Romano doesn’t think Liverpool will sign Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window
Although Semenyo’s release clause is said to be active at the moment, those interested in acquiring his services are yet to make any sort of moves.
Several Premier League teams could do with the talent that Semenyo possesses among their ranks, but since so many of them spent big in the summer, it’s unclear whether anyone will take that plunge in January.
Of course, players can be sold, but since the Reds have already moved on a large chunk of their first-team squad, there aren’t really any players left to sell.
This is why fans were a tad confused about reports emerging for a potential January move a month or so ago.

And, now that the rumour has had time to settle, transfer guru Romano has given his insight on the situation.
“I don’t think it will be a mid-season departure. I don’t think it will happen with Liverpool. I think Liverpool will be very quiet in the January window,” he said on the Market Madness Podcast.
“In the summer, it can be different. But I also want to respect Bournemouth and let them enjoy the player.
“There is a lot of interest in the player, of course, there is a release clause, but I think it’s for the summer window, for January I see it as very unlikely.”
Antoine Semenyo could be a perfect signing for Liverpool in the summer
At the moment, Liverpool have five senior attackers at their disposal.
Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah seem to be Slot’s preferred trio at the moment, but with Alexander Isak set to return from injury soon, that could all change.
Federico Chiesa is another option that the Dutchman has to choose from, but it feels like his time to shine will be when Salah goes off to AFCON.
However, when the summer transfer window comes around, it feels nailed on that Liverpool will look to add another attacker to their ranks.

Most thought that Gakpo would thrive as the Reds’ only senior left-winger, but in reality, Florian Wirtz and even Rio Ngumoha have done better than him at times.
The former PSV man is a stellar talent, but if Semenyo was brought in, it might make him take his performance levels up a gear or two.
