Football fans around the world have only one more international window to navigate in 2025, and it’s a crucial one.
International breaks are not always warmly received by those whose main interests lie in club football, but this year’s final window carries particular significance.
With the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to take place in December, qualifying campaigns around the world are entering their decisive stages.
For some nations, these fixtures also serve as valuable opportunities to fine-tune preparations ahead of next year’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
No senior Liverpool players have been called up to Thomas Tuchel’s squad this month, with Curtis Jones still struggling for consistency in the Reds’ lineup following injury issues last month.
However, there is Liverpool representation at the youth level.
Manager Ben Futcher has named Liverpool defender Amara Nallo in his England Under-20 squad.
Meanwhile, the England Under-19 side has handed call-ups to Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha.
England will begin their campaign against Lithuania on November 12, before facing Latvia on November 15.
The final group fixture against Scotland is set for November 18.
The top two teams from the group will advance to the next stage, scheduled for March 2026.
Nyoni has been a regular for the U19s since November 2024 and has also made two appearances for the U20s.
Ngumoha, meanwhile, is a newer addition to the squad, having earned promotion from the U18s in September.
