David Moyes says Thierno Barry and Beto aren't the only two players letting Everton down

David Moyes has admitted there are more players at Everton than just Thierno Barry and Beto who need to up their game.

A big game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium awaits the Blues this weekend following three games on the bounce without a victory.

Everton will be welcoming their former manager Marco Silva to their new home for the very first time as Fulham make the trip up north.

It will certainly be an opportunity for Moyes to get his side back to winning ways against a side who are sitting just one point behind the Toffees.

Moyes has a number of intriguing selection decisions on his hands following the frustrating draw away to Sunderland earlier this week.

After the game, Moyes demanded more from Thierno Barry who missed a huge opportunity to put Everton further ahead.

Going into the game on Saturday, the 62-year-old has spun the narrative and demanded more from some specific players at the club.

David Moyes demands more from Everton duo ahead of Fulham

During his press conference on Friday, Moyes admitted he wanted more from Dibling in training to warrant handing out minutes to the youngster.

However, the Scot was calling out a number of his players ahead of the game against the Cottagers on Saturday.

Everton’s full-backs, Jake O’Brien and Vitaliy Mykolenko, have not produced a single assist between them all season, and Moyes wants that to change.

“I think the return from the forwards at the moment is not good enough,” Moyes admitted to the media.

“But I could say that I want my centre-halves to score more goals, and that I want my full-backs to create more goals. So, I think there are a lot of things you have to take into it [consideration] not just the forwards.”

“Let’s be fair, at most clubs you need your number nines to be scoring. We’re not hiding away from that fact, but it should not take away from us needing our number fives to score from corner kicks, or assists coming from the full-backs,” the Scot added.

Adam Aznou has not played for Everton due to fitness concerns on the back of his own move from Bayern Munich over the summer.

Clearly, there is too much pressure being put on the shoulders of Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish to produce something special on the wings.

Everton need to sign attacking full-backs in January

The Toffees may have a strong defensive unit, but it has proven incredibly limited as to what it can do in attack.

Everton News reported last week that Everton are looking to land a full-back in the January transfer window.

More support is needed on both flanks, and an attacking threat from full-back could even have a positive effect on the two wingers.

If Everton were able to cause issues with their full-backs, that could turn some of the attention away from the likes of Ndiaye and potentially provide him with more opportunities.

Clearly, this is something Moyes has noticed and Mykolenko and O’Brien now have around two months to prove their worth before replacements could be added.
