Ravens' Lamar Jackson Set for NFL Feat Only Done by Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes

The Baltimore Ravens appear to be their old selves again, as they are on a two-game win streak. Lamar Jackson tossed four touchdowns in his return, and now the star quarterback is set for an NFL feat that has only been accomplished by Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes.

Jackson has been one of the most accurate passers in the league in his young career. Currently, he holds the best passer rating all-time, with a total of 103.5. This figure has the Ravens’ signal caller ahead of Rodgers, who is at No. 2 all-time with a career passer rating of 102.6.

Naturally, Rodgers being second in having more than twice as many seasons in the NFL as Jackson is very impressive. Mahomes is third all-time with 101.8.

Passer rating is a key metric that showcases just how accurate a quarterback is, along with displaying their ability to throw touchdowns without costly turnovers.

What sets Rodgers and Mahomes apart is they have achieved a huge NFL feat of having a passer rating of over 100.0 in their first 100 starts. Jackson has yet to achieve this feat, but he is closing in on it.

In fact, with Jackson’s 100th start happening on Sunday, he can join his counterparts if his passer rating remains over 100.0.

According to a release from NFL Media:

“Jackson can become the third quarterback all-time with a passer rating of 100-or-higher in his first 100 career starts, joining Aaron Rodgers (107.3 passer rating) and Patrick Mahomes (103.0).”

Jackson is at 99 starts with a total 103.5 passer rating. If he can maintain the same passer rating on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, he will add another NFL record to his growing list.

Jackson has done everything to showcase that he is no longer a “running back,” which was the narrative surrounding the dynamic dual-threat quarterback earlier in his career. His ability to throw downfield and run has led to two MVP awards.

The Ravens are 3-5, and with a surge in their confidence, they may be able to completely shake off their early-season woes.
