Blue Jays’ Kevin Gausman Sends Message To Fans As Offseason Begins

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman gave it all he had during the 2025 postseason run. Gausman made six starts for the Jays in the playoffs, which accounted for 30 2/3 innings. His 2-3 record in the postseason isn’t a proper indication of what he meant to Toronto during their run. Two of those losses came against Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the World Series (Game 2 and Game 6). Gausman was a reliable ace for the Blue Jays on their journey to the World Series. He picked up a crucial win in Game 1 of the ALDS over the dangerous New York Yankees by allowing just one earned run across 5 2/3, putting New York’s lineup on its heels and setting the tone for the rest of the series. Gausman was then essential during the ALCS, making two starts and a relief appearance, allowing just three earned runs across 12 1/3 innings of work. Even Gausman’s work in the World Series was solid. He pitch six or more innings in both starts, allowing just three runs each time, a pretty darn good job against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ lineup. He was unlucky to be going up against Yamamoto. And on Friday, Gausman took to X to send a message to Blue Jays fans. All I ever wanted to do was make the city and country proud of the team that represents them. To the fans- thank you I will never forget it #DadSeason — Kevin Gausman (@KevinGausman) November 7, 2025 “All I ever wanted to do was make the city and country proud of the team that represents them,” Gausman wrote. “To the fans- thank you I will never forget it. #DadSeason.” Story continues below advertisement Gausman, 34, is under contract for one more season with the Blue Jays. He’ll be back next year for Toronto as they look to return to the World Series and achieve a different result.
