Chelsea enquire about Tottenham target Nico Paz
Chelsea has launched an enquiry about former Real Madrid star Nico Paz. The 21-year-old rose through the ranks at Real Madrid before being transferred to Serie A outfit Como in 2024. Paz has been in excellent form in Italy, attracting the attention of major European clubs. This season, Paz has scored 4 goals and provided 4 assists in just eleven appearances.
Paz has been linked to several European giants, including Tottenham, Liverpool, and Chelsea, but Real Madrid is reportedly keen on re-signing the Argentine.
Spurs had initially tried to sign Paz, but Madrid were adamant on including a buy-back clause in the deal, which threw off the Lilywhites. Chelsea is also in the market for an attacking midfielder, as they continue to monitor Paz among other targets. According to TBR Football, Paz wants to prove himself at the Santiago Bernabeu and believes that he could be a vital player for the Spanish giants in the future. Paz only featured in a few matches for the Real Madrid senior team in 2023, before he was dispatched to Italy in the following year.

“But I can confirm that Paz is really attracting interest now. Spurs have never gone away, but now Chelsea have asked about him. They have really liked what they have seen, but the message back was that he has his heart set on Real.”
“We know that Liverpool and Manchester City have also looked, so safe to say if Paz does not head back to the Spanish capital, there is a very good chance he would be EPL-bound.”
