Happy Friday, and I hope yinz are doing well.
As quickly as concerns regarding the underperforming Pittsburgh Steelers grew, they were calmed after an encouraging win over the Indianapolis Colts. The defense rebounded hugely, the Colts turned the ball over six times, and the Steelers finally started to play to their full potential.
Now, the Steelers have another tough test against the Los Angeles Chargers. They’re missing quite a few players with injuries, but are still on a three-game win streak. They’re a beatable team, but the Steelers have struggled too much defensively this year to feel confident against Justin Herbert. That said, if we see the same effort and communication we saw last week, the Steelers are certainly capable of heading back home with a win.
The Steelers also have a few new weapons at their disposal. Kyle Dugger had an extensive role just days after joining the team, but he played well. The Steelers didn’t trade for a receiver at the deadline, but they added Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad.
As always, we’re here with you throughout the weekend with whatever news comes our way.
Have a safe and happy weekend.

Recap: Halloween Weekend: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions
55 respondents answered last week’s questions. Multiple weekly bonus winners.
Q1: Will the Steelers beat the Colts? The
Pittsburgh Steelers were three-point underdogs at their home field. The Indianapolis Colts came into the game with the top offense in the NFL. With Pittsburgh’s defense giving up over 30 points in the previous two games, many expected Pittsburgh to lose. But with six takeaways and the offense exploiting the field advantage, Pittsburgh finished with a 27-20 win. 23 of 55 (41.8 percent) of respondents picked the upset.
Q2: Does Jonathan Taylor rush for O/U 106.5 yards?
Pittsburgh was missing several starters and shifted the secondary around. It included newly signed safety Kyle Dugger, who was paired with Jalen Ramsey. The front seven dominated the line of scrimmage, giving Jonathan Taylor little daylight. He gained just 45 yards on 14 attempts. A slight 27 to 28 minority predicted the defense holding the talented running back under 106.5 rushing yards.
Q3: Will the Colts score a rushing touchdown?
Quarterback Daniel Jones went over for a one-yard touchdown on the Colts’ first possession. The Colts have scored a rushing touchdown in all nine of their games. 53 of 55 (96.4 percent) of respondents picked up a point on this gimme.
Q4: Do the Colts score O/U 30.5 total points?
The Colts were red hot. They scored over 30 points in six of their eight contests before visiting Pittsburgh. A ball-hungry defense caused six takeaways, which derailed the Colts’ offense. They matched their season low of 20 points. 28 of 55 (50.9 percent) of respondents predicted the Colts scoring under 30.5 points.
Q5: Will T.J. Watt Record a sack?
T.J. Watt was a non-factor in the Steelers’ previous two losses. With Pittsburgh down 7-0 and the Colts driving in Steelers territory, Watt made an amazing strip-sack that changed the momentum of the game. He recovered his own forced fumble that led to the Steelers tying the game. 45 of 55 (81.8 percent) of respondents predicted Watt breaking his two-game sack drought.
