The Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the NFL world are still trying to digest the horrible news of the tragic passing of Marshawn Kneeland.
On Thursday, it was announced that Kneeland had tragically passed away at the age of 24. According to police reports, Kneeland’s cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

This news came just three days after Kneeland scored his first career touchdown during the Dallas Cowboys’ game with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.

It’s been a hard week for everyone. On Friday, Cowboys cornerback Josh Butler shared a touching photo on his Instagram story.

Butler shared a photo of Kneeland’s locker with flowers sitting in the seat in front of the locker.
Butler’s caption on the photo, “Love you dawg.”

Prior to the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders meeting on Thursday Night Football, the NFL held a moment of silence for Kneeland.

Kneeland was in his second season with the Cowboys. The former Western Michigan star was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
