Green Bay Packers players raise money with 16th-annual ‘Touchdowns For Hope’ event

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Current and former Green Bay Packers players joined House of Hope at its 16th annual “Touchdowns for Hope” event on Friday night.

The event, hosted by safety Evan Williams, Dayanara Herrera, former wide receiver Geronimo Allison, and Dr. Evette Allison, aims to raise money for the organization, which provides emergency shelter and housing stability programs for children and young parents experiencing homelessness.

Those we spoke with say it’s a great way to raise awareness and garner crucial funds that will help continue the mission.

“This is our biggest fundraiser we have all year. And with our goal of ending youth homelessness in our community, we’re excited that usually goes well every year, and grateful for everybody that supports it,” says Shannon Wienand, the executive director of House of Hope Green Bay.
