Meanwhile, Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki also managed to get themselves on the scoresheet in what turned out to be a comfortable night for the hosts.
Pep Guardiola’s side are back in Premier League action on Sunday with a home clash against Liverpool. The North West outfit are positioned in 2nd in the table behind Arsenal by six points. City beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 in their last league outing so will be in confident mood as they look to pile more misery on Arne Slot’s men after their recent poor run of form.
