Dwight Yorke once admitted wanting to throttle Peter Andre when the pop sensation spoke about adopting his son Harvey - after the Manchester United legend was branded 'just a sperm donor' by Katie Price.
The former striker, who remains estranged from his 22-year-old son Harvey, born from his previous relationship with Price, has consistently maintained he cherished Harvey 'from the moment he was born', despite Katie's claims that he "didn't give a s***" about their youngster and played no part in his upbringing.
When the 'Mysterious Girl' singer married Katie back in 2025, he spoke about the possibility of adopting Harvey, who is presently struggling with severe obesity and has multiple disabilities, including partial blindness due to septo-optic dysplasia, autism, and Prader-Willi Syndrome, requiring him to have 24-hour care.
Throughout the years, Katie, now 47, has blamed Yorke, who turned 54 on Monday (November 3), for being a no-show in their son's life. It is believed the Premier League and Champions League winner has no contact with his son
However, while acknowledging he could have been more involved with Harvey, ex-Aston Villa forward Yorke slammed the former glamour model for allegedly restricting his access in a bombshell extract from his autobiography.

Penning his feelings in Born to Score, he revealed how Katie's remarks about his relationship with Harvey had 'stuck in his throat'.
The Red Devils' Treble winner wrote: "From the moment I set eyes on the little fella, I have loved my son like I could never ever have imagined possible. I am not going to hear anymore that I did not care for Harvey, or have any understanding of his needs or that I was not interested in his welfare.
"Over the years I have heard Katie saying how [Peter] Andre is Harvey's dad and what a terrible, uncaring father I have been, all of which sticks in my throat. Maybe if she had not made life so difficult for me, might have been able to take a far more proactive role."
Katie's former partner Peter, now 52, had been eager to adopt Harvey, which prompted Yorke to admit he felt like he wanted to "throttle" the pop star.

The model's history with the footballer was riddled with hostility, with the former Trinidad & Tobago star even insisting on a paternity test and only acknowledging Harvey as his child once the results proved it.
In her explosive memoir, Katie disclosed that Yorke had a shift in attitude when Harvey reached 10 years old. She wrote: "Dwight actually spoke to Harvey over the phone on his tenth birthday. My mum had organised it with his manager. To be honest, I was shocked that it happened."
She revealed the conversation took a surprising twist: "But I think Dwight was even more shocked when Harvey asked him, 'When am I seeing you?'
"The last time I saw Dwight was in 2012, when I met up with him at a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, to speak about Harvey and what Harvey had said on the phone."

Despite the momentary reconnection, Katie's attempts to get Yorke involved in their son's life proved futile. She recalled: "Even after he said that, I was still trying to be persistent. I wanted Harvey to have his dad in his life, but he just wasn't interested in any of it. 'This isn't about me. This is your son and your flesh and blood."
Katie bemoaned the apathy she encountered: "But he just didn't give a s***. There's only so much you can try before you realise you're flogging a dead horse. I got up and left and that's the last time I saw him. I haven't heard from him since."
She also wrote: "Dwight has never said anything supportive to me and not once has he told me that I’ve done a good job. I’m just used to the fact that he was just a sperm donor. He’s no father to Harvey."

Peter became a crucial figure in Harvey's upbringing following his marriage to Katie, who he met on the reality programme I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Katie was raising Harvey as a single mother at that time.
Whilst Peter never formally adopted Harvey through legal channels, they developed a profound connection, with Peter viewing himself as a paternal figure to the youngster.

He warmly remembered how Katie's "best boy" would affectionately address him as 'Daddy. '. Following his separation from Katie, Peter allegedly maintained his close relationship with Harvey for some time afterwards.
The singer has previously discussed experiencing genuine paternal feelings towards Harvey before becoming a biological father himself, once declaring: "I have been a real father of Harvey and he calls me Daddy."
