Thierno Barry has taken to social media ahead of Everton’s game against Fulham as his struggles in front of goal roll on.
A big decision lies ahead for David Moyes for the game on Saturday, with the 62-year-old needing to decide whether to keep Barry in the starting XI.
Moyes was shocked Barry missed his chance against Sunderland, which could have completely changed the narrative around the 23-year-old.
In the end, Beto replaced Barry after just 57 minutes at the Stadium of Light, in what felt like a damning statement from his manager.
Everton’s struggles in front of goal have been there for all to see this season, with only one player (Iliman Ndiaye) to have scored more than once.
Moyes has admitted he needs more from his two strikers, but Barry’s latest stunt on social media may rub some up the wrong way.

Last weekend, Barry suggested on social media he was starting against Sunderland, which turned out to be the case.
Ahead of the Fulham game, Barry has taken to social media again in a stunt which may not go down well with some.

On Friday evening, Barry changed the profile image of his Instagram account to a photo of him looking frustrated on the bench.

The image was from Monday’s game on Wearside after the 23-year-old forward had been pulled off by Moyes in the second half.
Whether that is an indication of Beto getting the nod for Fulham or just Barry venting his current frustrations, it may be a risky move to some.
There is a risk that moves like this over social media could rub some up the wrong way, as stuff like this does not fly under the radar in this modern day and age.
During the week, Barry was working on his strength in Everton training back at Finch Farm ahead of Saturday’s game.
The youngster is going to need mental resilience as well as physical strength to get himself through this goal drought on Merseyside, though.
David Moyes should start Barry against Fulham
Neither striker is finding it easy to score for Everton currently and Beto has already had a decent run of games in the side.
Constantly changing the starting striker is going to do no one any favours and Barry is yet to really get a run of starts under his belt.
Moyes has mooted a drastic striker change, with the likes of Ndiaye and Carlos Alcaraz suggested as potential alternatives.
However, if the 62-year-old is still thinking between Barry and Beto, then offering Barry his opportunity may be the best call.
One goal between the two strikers this season is clearly not good enough, but Barry worked the right positions on Monday and just needs one of them to go in for him.
