West Ham United’s Niklas Füllkrug is a potential target for AC Milan after opening the door to a transfer this week.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb and journalist Niccolò Ceccarini. They report that the German striker is someone the Italian club may look at.
Füllkrug pushed the door open to a departure from West Ham in January this week. That came courtesy of his agent Thorsten Wirth.
He appeared on the Tomorrow Business Podcast to discuss his client. During that chat, he admitted that the move to West Ham in 2023 had been the wrong one for him. He then admitted that it would make sense for him to seek a move in January.
A return to Germany has been heavily suggested since, with various clubs immediately named as potential destinations. It appears AC Milan can now be added to the list.
TMW report Milan believe they have a great chance in Serie A this season and so want to explore their options in the January transfer window. They’re looking at various profiles to strengthen the squad and now Füllkrug has been put in the window.
They would only move for him, though, ‘if there were to be margins’. In other words, Milan want to explore the value of a deal before they make any moves. The West Ham flop is an option, though.
