NFL power rankings: Quarterbacks entering Week 10

We are seeing a year of renaissance at the quarterback position. Some of the NFL’s top quarterbacks this season – Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Daniel Jones – were castaways from other teams and have found new life in new uniforms. It will be curious to see how these passers perform down the stretch and/or in the playoffs. Here are my top 15 quarterbacks in the NFL going into Week 10

15. Caleb Williams

Williams is still nowhere near a finished product at the QB position, but he balled out on Sunday against the awful Bengals defense. He threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns in a barn-burner of a game.

14. Jaxson Dart

The Giants are bad, sure, but Dart isn’t the reason why. The impressive rookie has totaled 15 touchdowns against just three interceptions so far this season.

13. Daniel Jones

For the first time this season, Jones played a truly terrible game. He threw three interceptions while being sacked five times in a road loss to the Steelers.

12. Dak Prescott

Following an explosive run of form, Prescott has regressed to the mean with consecutive stinkers. In a frustrating home loss to the lowly Cardinals, Prescott threw one touchdown to one interception.

11. Justin Herbert

Herbert moves up by default on this list, as he’s still struggling to avoid costly turnovers. He threw a pick-six against the lowly Titans, although he did bounce back to throw two touchdowns and lead Los Angeles to victory.

10. Jordan Love

Love is still searching for the consistency that has evaded him throughout his entire career. In an awful loss at home to the Panthers, Love threw no touchdowns and an ugly interception.

9. Sam Darnold

Let’s give this guy the respect he deserves as one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks this season. Darnold shredded the overmatched Commanders’ defense in Week 9 with 330 passing yards and four touchdowns, although he also threw an interception.

8. Jared Goff

Goff had a solid game on paper in Week 9, throwing for 284 yards and two touchdowns. However, he was unable to lead the Lions to a victory against the Vikings at home in a somewhat surprising outcome.

7. Drake Maye

Maye continues to carry the Pats offense on his back, although he wasn’t at his best this past week. He threw for 259 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a narrow win over the Falcons at home.

6. Jalen Hurts

Like Mayfield, Hurts was also on bye in Week 9. With 20 total TDs against just two turnovers, few quarterbacks have been as effective as Hurts this season.

5. Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes struggled massively in a disappointing loss to Buffalo this week. He completed just 44% of his passes while throwing no touchdowns and an interception.

4. Baker Mayfield

Mayfield moves up by default after Mahomes’ poor performance last week. A bye in Week 9 could help him return to his elite early-season form.

3. Matthew Stafford

Conclusion

For the second straight week, Stafford absolutely fried his opposing defense, throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns in a romp over the Saints. On the year, he’s thrown 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions.

2. Lamar Jackson

As soon as he returned to action, Jackson reestablished himself among the NFL’s elite at the position. In a romp over the Dolphins, Lamar threw for 204 yards and four touchdowns on just 23 pass attempts.

1. Josh Allen

Allen showed up when the lights were brightest this week, leading the Bills to a huge victory at home over the Chiefs. He completed nearly 90% of his passes while racking up 292 total yards and three total touchdowns.
