will go into the game buoyed by the news that star man will be fit to face the Cottagers after coming off injured in Monday's 1-1 draw at Sunderland.
But while that result stopped the mini rot after back-to-back defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, it raised more questions that answers over the direction of travel for the Blues, who have won just one their last eight matches in all competitions.
That run of form means they have slipped to 14th in the table, one place and one point above Fulham, who won 3-0 at home to basement boys Wolves last time out but who have failed to win away from home in the league so far this season.
Joe Thomas, Chris Beesley and Connor O'Neill are in place at to bring you all the build-up to the match, including team news when it drops at 1.45pm, followed by an in-game commentary stream and the best post-match reaction analysis.
David Moyes explains Tyler Dibling position
David Moyes insists that he doesn’t think Tyler Dibling’s fee was a big one in relative terms. And he has revealed he expects Everton will try and be “busy” in the January transfer window.
Dibling has made just one Premier League start so far this term, being hooked at half-time against Crystal Palace after a lacklustre display.
And asked about the 19-year-old's struggle to get into his side, Moyes said: “At the moment, he’s got Ili Ndiaye and Jack Grealish in front of him, so that’s probably the reason why he’s finding it difficult to break into the first team."
Marco Silva's pre-match thoughts
Fulham manager Marco Silva is relishing the prospect of a first trip to his former club Everton's new home.
It will be the first time that Silva, who managed between May 2018 and December 2019, and Fulham will have visited the waterfront venue.
And Silva said: “It’s always good when you go back to a place where you are going to see familiar faces and some people that you know very well, and people that treat you very, very well.
“Some people in that structure, some players, they are still there from our time as well. And what I expect is always the same that I got the other times before, to have some good conversation before and after the match with people that I know very, very well, and people that welcome us always very well in that football club.
“(But) when we start the kick-off, each one is going to try to win the game, as always. That is the main thing.
“Of course, Goodison was a special one. Okay, (moving) was the step that the club should give, and they gave. They are pleased with the place where they are playing right now, and it’s going to be the first time, first experience for us in that stadium.
“But you can feel it, you can see it, that it’s been very, very good for them in that aspect, and we are going to embrace the challenge of playing there against a good side. A side with a very experienced manager, some mature players as well.
“They added some great individuals for their squad, and it’s going to be a tough game, like always when you play away from home in the Premier League, when you play away from home against an Everton side, is always very difficult.
“But we have to look back, and the way this group of players changed completely the story of this football club recently against Everton away from home, just shows what we have been doing.”
Latest Everton injury news
David Moyes confirmed on Friday afternoon that Iliman Ndiaye is fit and available for this afternoon’s game. He said: “He's fine. He's trained today, so hopefully everything is okay." However, Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Nathan Patterson (hernia and foot) are still both sidelined.
