The former Colorado safety got brutally roasted by a waiter at Dick’s Last Resort restaurant. The viral moment highlighted Sanders’ NFL struggles in a way only the famously rude restaurant chain could deliver.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed Sanders as an undrafted rookie free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft, then waived him on August 24, 2025. As of now, no other NFL team has signed him.

After getting into a scuffle with Buffalo tight end Zach Davidson and throwing a punch, Head Coach Todd Bowles called the act “inexcusable,” and Sanders was waived the very next day.

The savage roast was actually aimed at his unemployed status. It went down naturally while Sanders reviewed his order at Dick’s Last Resort. Some waiter didn’t hold back with his timing to deliver the brutal jab at Coach Prime’s son.

“Damn, man, slow down,” the server told him. “You’re eating those pickles faster than you can find a new team to get on.”

However, the 25-year-old took the dig like a champ, like his childhood friend dished him and he got nothing to reply. He clapped his hands, smiled, and gave the restaurant props.

“This place is great, bro,” Sanders responded.

The video has since turned viral on social media, showing the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders being a good humor about his situation.

What Shilo Sanders Is Doing Now

Sanders’ YouTube channel has more than 238,000 subscribers. His videos show him trying new foods, house hunting, and creating content. He’s building a backup plan while waiting for another NFL shot.

Sanders signed with United Talent Agency for fashion, media, and entertainment pursuits. The entertainment industry is calling for sure. It is a matter of time, as his recent conversation with Sexyy Red suggests he is keeping things entertaining along the way with music.

Shilo also mentioned pursuing acting, music and modeling as potential paths. “The NFL is just the ‘Not For Long’ league. Nothing’s ever certain. I’ve always done that my whole life playing football with music, acting, modeling. I’m well-versed,” he said.

Sanders is keeping his options open. The waiter’s roast stung because it carried a very extreme truth. Nothing to do with that because finding an NFL home has been tougher than finishing a plate of pickles.
