Premier League champions will hope to continue their recent upturn in form when they visit Manchester City on Sunday.
Arne Slot’s side lost four consecutive Premier League matches prior to a routine 2-0 victory over Aston Villa last time out, leaving the Reds third in the top flight table and already seven points behind runaway leaders Arsenal.
The Dutchman saw his side beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the Champions League at Anfield on Tuesday, though, and he will hope to see his players build on that result when they visit The Etihad.
Away from the action, it appears that Liverpool are eyeing a move for a Greek defender as a possible replacement for one of their current crop.
As per CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are showing interest in Wolfsburg defender Konstantinos Koulierakis.
The report claims that the two English sides are both keeping a close eye on the centre-back, who has started the new season in fine form.

Koulierakis, 21, joined Wolfsburg from Greek side PAOK last year and has now made 44 appearances for the German side across all competitions.
Liverpool’s interest in the defender comes amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Ibrahima Konate, who is in the final year of his current contract at Anfield.
The Frenchman has played an integral role for Slot’s side since he took charge of the club, but he looks set to leave Merseyside at the end of the season and has been linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid and German champions Bayern Munich.
The Reds are said to have been scouting Koulierakis for several months now as they search for defensive reinforcements, with the player impressing scouts with his defensive positioning and progressive passing.
Koulierakis is under contract at Wolfsburg until the end of the 2028/29 season.
