Jaden Heskey could end up leaving Manchester City on a temporary basis in the winter transfer window, amidst interest from Championship and League One clubs. According to a report from Football Insider, Pep Guardiola’s team have given the green light to a potential loan switch.
Heskey has been a part of the Manchester City setup since his childhood days, and he has gone up the ranks at some pace. While he is yet to be promoted to their first team, the teenager has already made his professional debut.
The 19-year-old midfielder is quite highly rated by people at the Manchester-based club, and it is one of the reasons why Pep Guardiola handed him his debut in the Carabao Cup earlier in the 2025/26 season.
Following his sensational rise, multiple top clubs from the lower divisions in England are keen on signing Heskey on loan. Manchester City are considering sanctioning his departure, as regular first-team minutes could do wonders for him.

Since he is unlikely to get regular minutes under Guardiola anytime soon, a move away from Manchester City could help him fast-track his career. Sheffield Wednesday were one of the clubs that were keen on signing him on loan in the summer.
However, the Owls failed to strike a deal with Manchester City. It will be interesting to see if they return for his signature in January. Even if they won’t, there certainly won’t be any shortage of interest in the youngster.
