"That provokes" - Sean Dyche's Leeds United at Nottingham Forest verdict with Man United…

Leeds Utd: The next few games are going to be tough for Leeds Utd

Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest side host Leeds United in another huge Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon.

Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche believes Sunday’s visit of Leeds United can again “provoke” his City Ground crowd but declared the need for a Reds must to match it.

Sunday’s clash against Leeds will mark Dyche’s fifth game in charge of Forest who sit second-bottom, four points adrift of safety and five points behind Daniel Farke’s fifth-bottom Whites.

Forest, though, have already beaten Europa League visitors Porto and drawn with Manchester United at the City Ground under Dyche’s tenure and the Reds boss hopes Sunday’s huge visit of Leeds “provokes” a similar response from the home crowd.

Forest are still seeking their first league win under Dyche who says his team must then give the crowd something back and build on the basics in search of victory against Farke’s Whites.

“That provokes that thinking”

Speaking to the club’s media team on Sunday’s visit of Leeds, Dyche said: “The crowd have often been in my experience both watching and being around it and then being part of it, them games on paper, some of them just come to life a little bit more.

"It certainly did against Porto for different reasons, Manchester United; Leeds is another fixture that provokes that thinking so we want the crowd to be with us of course but we've got to give them something back with our performance level.

"So far I think there's good signs of that, we want to score goals, we want to be entertaining but equally we've got to keep clean sheets and keep the base right.

"Building on the basics is one of my mantras and we're certainly going to have to do the basics well against Leeds and then bring on our performance to go and score goals and win the game."
