The 26-year-old has also been fined £21,000 and ordered to attend a mandatory education course.
While there was frustration with how long the process took, with the verdict arriving eight months after Osmajic was charged, anti-discrimation charity Kick It Out explained how a “due process” must be followed.

In a statement, the organisation said: “Hannibal Mejbri's decision to stand up to discrimination against Preston last season took immense courage but also showed a deep perspective when he said it was "the only way we change as a sport and society".
“No doubt it has been a long road to get to this point, but we hope he can draw some comfort and closure from seeing the case come to a conclusion.

“He is one of many players this year who have shown the willingness to take the first step in calling it out. To ensure that continues and players feel supported, a due process must be followed, leading to the right outcomes.
“Everyone has a responsibility in standing up to discrimination, but Hannibal has shown others how we can make football a safer and more welcoming game for everyone.”
