Sources: Wolves expected to appoint Rob Edwards after Middlesbrough green light talks

Wolves are expected to appoint Rob Edwards as their new manager after Middlesbrough granted permission for the 42-year-old to speak with the Molineux side, GIVEMESPORT sources understand.

The Welsh tactician will not be in the dugout for Middlesbrough’s Championship clash with Birmingham on Saturday, as he is expected to finalise his move, having made it clear to all parties that he wants to join Wolves.

A club-to-club agreement for Edwards’ exit from Middlesbrough is already in place, with the Riverside Stadium outfit saying in a statement:

“Following discussions with Rob we were disappointed to learn that he wanted to speak with Wolves regarding their head coach vacancy. We have now agreed terms with Wolves, subject to completion of the relevant paperwork.”
