Liverpool keeping tabs on Serie A sensation

Liverpool will hope to build on Wednesday’s victory against Real Madrid when they visit Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The reigning champions have struggled in the league of late, although they did end a run of four straight defeats by beating Aston Villa in their last domestic outing.

Arne Slot’s side have also been in fine form in the Champions League, with Alexis Mac Allister’s header earning them a hugely important victory against Real in midweek.

Ahead of Sunday’s visit to The Etihad, it has emerged that Liverpool are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on a Serie A star.

As per Football Insider, the Merseyside outfit are closely monitoring Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the best players in the Italian top flight.

According to the report, Liverpool have become the latest top European side to join the race for the Turkey international, who joined the Old Lady from Bayern Munich as a youngster in 2022.

Since securing his move to Turin, the 20-year-old has scored 19 goals and registered 15 assists in 97 games for Juventus.

He has been in particularly impressive form so far this term, providing a combined seven goals in 13 games across the league and Champions League.

The report claims that the youngster – who can play centrally as well as in his natural role on the left flank – is attracting serious interest from a number of clubs, with both Chelsea and Manchester United also said to be eyeing a move to sign the player next year.

Yildiz is under contract at Juventus until the end of the 2028/29 season, but the Italian outfit could face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond next year if his impressive form continues.
