Through his girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez, fans learn that the rookie is at home now and passing his leisure time decorating Christmas trees, though Merry Christmas is still more than a month away.
Probably, it was just another home decoration, but it gives the Giants Community a glimpse of how Skattebo is staying positive during his recovery.

Rodriguez posted Instagram Stories showing Skattebo setting up the little Christmas tree between the two with his leg still in a cast. She added the caption “too soon?” with a Christmas tree emoji.

What item he was putting on the head of the tree is quite unclear in the pic, but he is doing something with the leaves. His mobility issue looks quite obvious, but the rookie doesn’t allow it to stop him from getting into the holiday spirit.
The 23-year-old suffered a devastating ankle injury during the Giants’ Week 8 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 26. He underwent surgery and has been discharged from the hospital to begin rehabilitation.
Skattebo was a fourth-round draft pick who showed real promise early in his rookie campaign. He ran for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries before going down. He also caught two receiving scores for Big Blue.
His chemistry with fellow rookie signal-caller Jaxson Dart had created excitement among Giants community, but things derailed with the injury that they have even reportedly predicted to be nerve damage at the initial point.
But now it seems like all is ok, though he is not returning soon. His expected recovery timeline is four to six months. That should have Skattebo back for the Giants’ offseason program.
Rodriguez Stays Supportive Through Difficult Time
Rodriguez, who dated Skattebo during their time together at Arizona State, has kept a lower profile on social media since the injury occurred. Her only post about it was a single blue heart emoji when Skattebo shared his surgery update.
About three weeks ago, Rodriguez captioned her latest Instagram post, “so far so good <3.”
Cam Scattebo then jumped into the comments, replying playfully, “Forty four that’s me !!!!!”
The Christmas tree moment marked her return to sharing their life together. Skattebo reposted the decorating photos on his own social media. He seemed fine with letting fans see his recovery process.
