The Cowboys’ defensive end passed away on November 6, 2025. The most shocking part of this death is that he was just 24. The second-year player was just starting to build a promising career with a big role on special teams.
But God had a very tragic plan for the second-round pick. He passed away only a few days after scoring a touchdown on a blocked punt in the Monday Night Football game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Dak Prescott’s fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, took to Instagram Stories to express her sorrow. “Devastating. Please lift this family and community up with love and prayers. Rest in Peace, Marshawn,” Ramos wrote.

Marshawn Kneeland’s Time in the NFL
Kneeland kicked off his rookie season in September 2024 against Cleveland Browns after his second-round draft selection. Since then, he has played 18 games for the Cowboys only and managed to put a total of 26 tackles in his stat sheet.
His production got derailed by injuries. Last season, he faced a practice-related ankle injury. Later, he suffered a serious right knee injury while attempting to sack quarterback Justin Fields. The injury was considered season-ending at the time. He worked hard and returned in 2025 and played seven games before his tragic passing.
