Newcastle United hold an interest in Leicester City’s Jeremy Monga.
The January transfer window is just around the corner for Newcastle United fans and, unlike in previous years, Eddie Howe is expected to have money to spend.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the club will go out and break the bank halfway through the season, but Newcastle could make signings in the January transfer window for the first time in three years.
Generally, owners PIF like to sign younger players at Newcastle.
In a world dominated by the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), signings who boast re-sale value are of the utmost importance.
Always on the lookout for new talent, Newcastle are just one of the Premier League clubs interested in a move for Monga.

Newcastle United very interested in signing Jeremy Monga
Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has spoken to Geordie Boot Boys about Newcastle’s interest in the 16-year-old left-winger.
A host of leading Premier League clubs are keen on the teenager, who is set to sign his first professional contract at the King Power Stadium when he turns 17 next summer.

Newcastle are one of the teams interested in Monga and have made that clear to his camp.
Bailey said: “Jeremy Monga is a player on the radar of most of the big Premier League clubs. Newcastle, as we know, are not averse to these youngsters.
“He’s a player they can grab now before he turns 17. Newcastle are one of the clubs that like him, but that’s no surprise.
“He’s a generational player and a lot of clubs like him. Newcastle have made it known to his camp that they would be interested in signing him. I wouldn’t make Newcastle favourites for him, but they are certainly in the picture.”
Interestingly, Monga made his debut against Newcastle in April when he became the second-youngest player to ever appear in the Premier League at the age of 15 years and 271 days.
Analysis: Why Newcastle United want to sign Jeremy Monga
The club have actively tried to improve the recruitment of young players over the past few years.
Newcastle are eager to sign younger players, given they can either be developed into first-team talent or sold on at a potential profit.
Monga could represent an interesting opportunity. He’s a highly rated young talent and recently became the youngest goalscorer in Championship history when he scored against Preston.
With the Foxes struggling in the Championship this season, perhaps the teenager can be tempted away.
Newcastle have to be alive to these potential opportunities.
