Aaron Ramsdale shares what Lewis Hall is really like behind the scenes at Newcastle

Aaron Ramsdale has shared some interesting insight into his time with Lewis Hall at Newcastle United.

Hall was one of Newcastle United’s best players last season, establishing himself as an England international following a difficult first year at the club.

Injuries, however, have since derailed his progress. The 21-year-old has only made two starts this season, having seen last year’s campaign ended prematurely due to a foot injury.

Still, Newcastle fans are excited that Hall has returned from injury. The former Chelsea defender made a cameo against Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League on Wednesday night and impressed.

Having Hall back is brilliant for Newcastle and Ramsdale has been speaking about his teammate.

Aaron Ramsdale says ‘quiet’ Lewis Hall ‘goes under the radar’ at Newcastle United

A large percentage of the British public have recently been gripped by the Celebrity Traitors reality TV series on BBC One.

It swept the nation, and there was a very distant Newcastle link to it. Indeed, comedian Alan Carr was a major star on the show and he is the son of former Newcastle scout, Graham Carr. Wilfred Carr – Alan’s grandfather – played for the Magpies between 1928 and 1930.

Newcastle’s TikTok account posted a video in which various players answered who from the squad would make the best Traitor.

How Newcastle United fans once made Lewis Hall’s family emotional

Last season was a breakout campaign for Hall, who looked like one of the best defenders in the Premier League when in full flow.

It was a remarkable turnaround for a player who often struggled in his first season under Eddie Howe.

A big player for the club during their best season in living memory, Newcastle supporters once made Hall’s mother cry by chanting his name against Southampton.

Hearing Hall’s Newcastle chant understandably made his family emotional, with his mother said to have been moved by the praise and recognition he earned from supporters.

He may be quiet behind the scenes, but Hall does his talking on the pitch.
