Wayne Rooney was in attendance to watch Everton dominate against Fulham at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton needed to put three points on the board having only picked up one win since August in the Premier League.
The Cottagers proved to be the perfect opponent for David Moyes’ side in what was a one-sided affair on Merseyside.
Everton fans were delighted with Thierno Barry’s performance as he made it back-to-back starts under the 62-year-old.
However, it was a former Everton striker who was spotted in the stands at the new state-of-the-art stadium.
And Rooney had a message for the Blues after the victory.

Wayne Rooney’s three-word Everton message after Fulham win
In recent weeks, Rooney has sung the praise of Jordan Pickford for his performances for both England and Everton.
The former Blue has now been out of management for a number of months and taken up a role as a pundit.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
On Saturday, the 40-year-old made a trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium with one of his sons to watch the Toffees.
After the game, Rooney took to social media to share a photo from inside the stadium, which he captioned: ‘Get in Everton’.
Jack Grealish holds a strong friendship with Rooney and the pair did discuss the move to Merseyside earlier in the year.
Clearly, Rooney enjoyed his visit to the docks to watch what was a resounding display from Moyes’ side.
Everton put on a real show against Fulham
It was the performance which Everton fans would have been dreaming of throughout the week.
Moyes asked for more from his Everton players as the pressure mounted on the two strikers to find the back of the net.
Although neither Barry nor Beto were able to score, the players around them stepped up in a real team performance.
Gary Neville predicted Everton to beat Fulham in a prediction that left Paul Scholes stunned.
No one will deny Everton for those three points secured on Saturday afternoon as the mood around Merseyside changes going into the international break.
